Moxie BBQ Sauce, NH Style

Ingredients:
24 oz. Moxie
2 cups Ketchup
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire
1 cup real Maple syrup
1 Tbsp. Cayenne Pepper
2 Tbsp Black Pepper
1/3 cup Laphroaig Scotch Whiskey

Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients but whiskey. stirring regularly throughout. Work on minimum temperatures.
2. Reduce by half or to near preferred thickness.
3. Add whiskey and simmer for 10 minutes

Note: delicious when paired with a cracked-pepper and cornmeal dry-rub. Works well as both a basting sauce and a dipping sauce.
